Day 1:
Arrival to Lima
You will be transferred to your private apartment.2
Day 2:
Artistic district
This day is dedicated to discovering Callao: a place where many cultures merge. This part of the city, home to Peru's main port and airport, is packed with history. Here you will find colonial forts, European-style plazas, urban art, and excellent seafood. The visit will start at La Punta: a traditional beach town located on a small peninsula near the airport. You will also visit the city's artistic part: Callao Monumental, the main point of street art and murals decor that holds new avant-garde art galleries along with classic marine food restaurants.Tasting Callao
For lunch, you can choose between an haute cuisine restaurant located next to the port that offers a breathtaking view of the quay cranes or try different interpretations of traditional Peruvian flavors through a tasting menu in a friendly restaurant in the heart of Callao Monumental.Nikkei dinner
The day will end with a dinner at Osaka, awarded as the 4th best restaurant in Peru. In this experience, specially designed for PWS travelers, the selected dishes will make you discover the most delicious flavors of Nikkei culture, surrounded by an architecture that perfectly combines Peruvian and Japanese motifs in a luxurious environment.3
Day 3:
Discovering native foods
You can open this day by taking a walk through one of the best open-air markets in Lima or visiting a bio-market where you will taste native products and street food from the area.Peruvian flavors*
For lunch, you will discover the different flavors from the Peruvian coast, highlands, and rainforest. Learn how to cook a delicious ceviche and prepare Pisco Sour, our flag drink, all in one place! You will enjoy this immersive experience with a local host from Peru Well Served.4
Day 4:
Lima-Cusco flight
Upon arriving in the city of Cusco, your private transportation will take you directly to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, to avoid altitude sickness.Pachamanca in Piuray
On your first day at the Sacred Valley, you will enjoy nature at the impressive Piuray lagoon, where you will have an experience that will allow you to taste the roots of the Andean culture: an ancient lunch prepared in an underground stone oven. While the land does its work and the food cooks, you can enjoy outdoor activities, such as paddle boarding or kayaking, in the beautiful lagoon. Then, you will witness the unearthing of the food and enjoy a lunch surrounded by nature and stunning views. This pachamanca is prepared by cooks from the community, who have merged their culinary tradition with professional chefs' knowledge over time —the perfect ingredients for an unbeatable experience.5
Day 5:
Machu Picchu
After a good breakfast, you will visit the citadel of Machu Picchu and the surrounding complexes. A half-hour bus ride will take you to the citadel for a guided tour that, on average, lasts three hours. You will enjoy amazing views and learn about Andean life, traveling back in time. In the afternoon, you will return to Aguas Calientes town to have lunch and then take the train back to Ollantaytambo. From there, a private vehicle will take you to your hotel in the Sacred Valley.6
Day 6:
Maras and Moray
This morning, together with a local guide, you will visit the terraces of Moray: constructions designed to create different microclimates. This work of Inca architecture is considered a great experimentation center for agriculture. Then, you will visit the Maras salt mines, where hundreds of pools filled with salty waters eventually evaporate and leave the salt crystallized: a phenomenon that has occurred for more than 500 years.Picnic, bike tour & Sacred Valley Brewing tasting
After enjoying the delicious picnic in the town of Maras, you will start a smooth and safe, but very fun, bicycle route that will take you to the Cervecería del Valle. There, you will taste the craft beer plant and can taste their different homemade creations made with local ingredients.7
Day 7:
Textile visit to Chinchero
On the way to the city of Cusco, you will visit the textile community of Chinchero to learn with Mrs. Evangelina about their dyeing and weaving techniques, transmitted from generation to generation.Andean cooking class
In this participatory class they will learn to prepare nutritious and healthy dishes using the most representative ingredients of the region, as well as a delicious Pisco sour, under the guidance of a professional chef.Sacsayhuamán & City tour
After lunch, you will make a stop by a local coffee shop and recharge your batteries for the last visit of the trip: Sacsayhuamán. You will visit this beautiful Inca ceremonial fortress accompanied by a private guide, and you will get to know the main points of the city of Cusco such as the Cathedral, the Plaza de Armas and the White Christ. You will stroll through the city of Cusco like a local.8
Day 8:
At the proper time, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home. *This experience can be replaced by lunch at Central restaurant (depending on availability) or in a "cevichería" for a very local experience.
