Itinerary summary:

Day 1:

You will arrive to Arequipa and check-in in your hotel

Day 2:

Your exploration of Arequipa will start with a hands-on experience in city’s main market. You will then meet a “picantera”, a local traditional cook, who will teach you how to prepare some of Arequipa’s most cherished dishes and drinks.


In the afternoon, you will take a walk through the White City’s historical landmarks, such as the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, beautiful colonial houses, the Santa Catalina monastery, and the popular Yanahuara viewpoint.

Day 3:

You will visit the Ashlar quarries, a volcanic stone with which many churches and colonial houses in the city are built. After lunch, you will be part of an immersive experience where you will learn about the history of Peruvian chocolate, and will be able to prepare your own! In the afternoon, you will appreciate ancestral fiber classification and traditional weaving techniques live on a visit to the interesting Museum of textile machinery. For dinner, you will enjoy a fantastic tasting menu and pairing experience called “Arequipa’s Monarchy,” in which the chef uses only native ingredients. Fantastic pairing experience.

Day 4:

You will leave Arequipa early in the morning and, after a three and a half hour ride through the Andean plateau, you will arrive to the quaint village of Chivay, in the Colca Valley. After lunch, you can relax spending some time in the nearby hot springs..

Day 5:

The “Cruz del Condor” viewpoint is definitely the best place to see the magnificent Andean condor soaring over the deep canyon. After the viewpoint, our next stop will be an organic farm, where you will have a delicious brunch. You will then return to Arequipa where, after a few hours to rest, you will go out for a good-bye dinner in a charming restaurant that combines Andean ingredients and Alpine cuisine.

Day 6:

At the appropriate time, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to your next destination or back home.

Day 1:

Arrival to Arequipa

You will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 2:

Market visit & traditional Arequipean cooking class

Your journey in Arequipa starts with a very fun experience in which you will get to know the most important local market to learn about the ingredients that make Arequipa's food so special. Then, you will learn to prepare traditional dishes and drinks from Arequipa's cuisine along with a local "picantera".

City tour

Later, you will visit the White City and go through its most interesting spots, such as the main square, the Cathedral, colonial houses, Santa Catalina's monastery, and Yanahuara’s viewpoint.

Day 3:

Ashlar quarries

You will visit the magnificent quarries from which ashlar is extracted. Ashlar is a volcanic stone with which most churches and colonial houses in the city are built.

Peruvian chocolate workshop

After lunch, you will participate in an immersive chocolate experience: you will know the history, origins, and preparation processes of Peruvian chocolate, and prepare one of your own!

Textile boutique & museum

Later, you will appreciate ancestral fiber classification and weaving traditional techniques in this unique textile museum. You will also be able to interact with Alpacas in a beautiful natural environment.

Andean tasting menu

You will close the day with an exclusive dinner. Using nothing but native ingredients according to the seasons, the chef has designed a 10-course tasting menu called “Arequipa’s monarchy”. This experience includes drinks pairing.

Day 4:

Transfer to Chivay & Hot springs

After a private ride of approx. 3.5 hours, you'll arrive in Chivay (in the Colca Valley), have lunch, and enjoy an afternoon of total relaxation at natural hot springs.

Day 5:

“Cruz del Cóndor”

Early in the morning, you will go to the Cruz del Condor lookout to see the flight of these magnificent birds. A couple of hours later, you will enjoy a delicious brunch at an organic farm and start your journey back to Arequipa city.

Alpa-andean dinner

In the evening, you will enjoy a dinner in the city that combines the best of Andean and Alpine food.

Day 6:

You will be transferred to the airport for your flight to your next destination or back home at the proper time.
