4 ways to know Machu Picchu from Cusco 

Today we bring you a special blog dedicated to one of the most important places in Cusco. Today we are celebrating the 14th anniversary of one of the Modern Worldwide Wonders: Machu Picchu.

Regular Incas Trail  (4 days / 3 nights)

The incas trail to Machu Picchu is well known as one of the best treks of the world. This is because of their impressive andean landscape, ecology areas and vegetation. In this experience we will camp 2 nights and during 4 days, we will explore many places such as the urubamba river, pacaymayo, phuyupatamarca, some archaeological ruins and lakes, until we arrive at the expected destination: Machu Picchu.

Express Inca Trail (2 days / 1 night)

This trekking is of the faster version of the regular inca regular. This route is shortest but as beautiful and enjoyable as the other one. This option is perfect for travelers that want to experience different journeys in cusco without doing the famous inca trail. The physical effort is way less than the other because we just walked 11 kilometers that are approximately 4 hours in less altitude. During the route we also have incredible landscapes,  waterfalls and orchids in the natural habitat.

What other differences have the inca trail express and the regular?

      • In the regular inca trail, the walking begins in the km 82  of the Ollantaytambo railway in Machu Picchu, while the express begins in the km 104.
      • Accomodations: In the regular Inca trail you will have 3 nights of a luxury camping, where you could rest in the middle of nature. In the express, later of a day of trekking you will rest in a cozy hotel in the town of Aguas Calientes, so you could enjoy the ancestral citadel of Machu Picchu the next day.

In this road you will admire the beautiful landscapes of the city of cusco, thanks to panoramic windows and an open observator.
